WHY SUPPLEMENT WITH BCAAHMB.

Generally, after a session of resistance training the body is in a catabolic state (the breaking down of muscle tissue) with a protein synthesis deficit. This is because post exercise the MAPK signalling pathway (the body’s own way to signal muscle growth) is activated. When adequate amounts of BCAAs and HMB are ingested post workout, the body is placed in a greater state of hypertrophy with a positive amount of protein synthesis. This is extremely important for athletes because it will decrease recovery time, as it increases the rate at which lean body mass is gained.

How will intake of BCAA help my athletic performance?

During exercise activity, BCAAs levels decrease as they are taken up by skeletal muscle, which triggers the ratio of serum BCAA to tryptophan to skew in favour of tryptophan, an amino acid that increases serotonin formation, ultimately enhancing the perception and feeling of fatigue. Furthermore, a decline in BCAA may accelerate breakdown of muscle glycogen, thereby contributing to premature muscle fatigue, or the common term called "hitting the wall".
